"I just wanted to reach out, and share that as of yesterday I am 2 years sober! I felt like it was important to reach out and share this because of the pivotal role you played in my recovery. Mindy, you welcomed me back to the program after getting my 2nd DUI with open arms and that meant a lot at that time. I was extremely embarrassed, and disappointed in myself, yet you made me feel comfortable. I also wanted to thank you for providing and attracting the best therapists I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Kelly, your enthusiasm and passion for recovery made all the difference to me. I think about you almost everyday. As you know, I frequent kava bars, which are generally sober communities, where I’m very exposed to numerous people in all different stages of recovery. Every time I run into someone dealing with a DUI I have to hold myself back from jumping onto them about the education and therapy sessions provided by ACSC. Nonetheless, I still direct them towards you anyway. I love bragging about my experiences in your sessions, though we’ve never met in person, when I think back on all those days in therapy it was as if you were right there. I tell everyone that all the therapist I had were great people, but you, Kelly, made it so much different. You made it personal, you made it fun, you made it enjoyable, you made it to where I was excited to move on with the next chapter of my life, but saddened to leave. I hold you in such high regards because the time we spent had a major impact on my life, and ultimately those around me. You’re impact has helped me become a better father, friend, and overall person to those I come across. I’m genuinely thankful for the experiences we had in these sessions. You ARE the change we need, not only in recovery, but the world we live in. I wish you all the best and will continue to guide people in the direction of your organization as it helped me beyond comprehension.

Getting my DWAI was a frightening experience filled with a lot of tough questions and many steps in order to get my life back on track. Luckily, I signed up for my classes and therapy with ACSC. Mindy is an absolutely amazing therapist with a very open mind and tremendous experience and knowledge. The groups were well run and very helpful, informative and therapeutic. They really made me go from feeling afraid, lost and alone, to realizing that I am not the only person going through this ordeal and I truly did have support. Mindy and the group walked me through the entire process, from getting my license back, finding an interlock, discussing addiction and life issues, the court system, and ultimately becoming a better person. I can't thank Mindy enough for all her hard work and even taking her own personal time to come to the office so I could do UA's. Thank you for turning a terrible experience into a chance to reflect, learn, grow and develop.

It's because of you and my peers in our classes and your pushing me to constantly better myself that I'm finally able to make a childhood dream and midlife crisis come true... Thank You so much for helping me attain this goal and being a part of a greater whole.

I bought and paid for this Monday, March 14, and should receive it in mid July as it's in the factory being built right now. I couldn't have done it without the persistent pushes forward, the long hard look in the mirror (as Dave would say) and you guys believing in me when I didn't.

It's because of you and the ppl in class, making it interactive, asking the hard questions and really having to look myself in the mirror. Your classes made me realize that I not only can live sober but sober AND happy. Setting those little goals to achieve the larger ones.

Axxx, Rxxx Kxxx and so many others made me really know that I'm not alone but instead I realized how much I was cheering them on and praying they succeed while I was even unsure of my own future. And then I looked back and realized I was succeeding and moving forward by helping others.
